So this week started at 8:15am Monday morning when i got a call saying my interview had been cancelled because both directors were off sick. Good stuff cuz i really didn’t feel like going. Tuesday they called to reschedule it for Wednesday. At this point i am having second thoughts about working two jobs. The one i applied for is in a small options home which is my love. It’s just crap shifts and part time for now, so i would have to have another job in the meantime. I went to the interview thinking i don’t want this. She pretty much told me she wanted me to come work for her and if i didn’t meet the criteria she’d push for it. I think the thing that won her over was the fact that i have disimpacted ( if you don’t know what that is.. don’t ask) someone. What a way to score points. Ha.

I’m torn on if i want it or not. I have to have a TB shot, tested for some diseases, renew my cpr and it’s a dollar less than what i make now. At part time hours it could be six months before my probationary period is up. After that it’s two more dollars than i make now. I don’t know.. Some thought on the matter is needed.

I was woken today by my mother calling to chat and catch up. It’s weird not talking to her a couple times a week after the last month of her being off. Towards the end of the conversation she pretty much guilted me into calling my sister and seeing if she wanted to go to Nova Scotia for the weekend. I called her and she said she was broke and i thought that was the end of it. So i went back to bed. Forty minutes later my mother calls back and says “here’s the plan”. So i am being the cash cow and we’re heading off to NS tonight. I called in sick today so we could head out tonight. This is the first time i have ever called in sick on a Friday to make a long weekend out of it. I feel like such a hooky virgin.

Here’s to getting stupid drunk and no karma for calling in sick. (:

I was sitting here surfing the net and the thought ” I wonder where all the surnames in my family come from and do they line up with my heritage” pops into my head. So i go to look that info up, along the way i find a link to track popularity of names.

This totally explains why i dont see/meet many Beverly’s along my way. It also explains why i knew so many Amandas.
