fidgets

Twenty-four hours from now he should be stepping off the plane *crosses toes*

Unlike Jay and becka I don’t make lists. I have everything done but packing and cleaning my bathroom which I will do tomorrow after I shower.

Oh there is something else but that’s a secret.

I have to work until 8am tomorrow morning which I am not looking forward to. This is day number ten in a row and my legs are tired of walking to and from work. I have walked about 22km/13.5miles since Monday night - Vacation can’t come fast enough.

I need to sleep tomorrow at some point too. Hmmm..

So here’s hoping everything goes smoothly. You may hear from me tomorrow / Sunday morning.. if not. See you in about a week and half.

Much love. (:

My thought provoking question of the day

I changed the resolution on my desktop finally. Going from 800×600 to 1024×748 three years ago was a big change. This is an even smaller jump but god damn I feel like I need new glasses. Hopefully I adjust before I give myself a severe enough headache that provokes a stroke..

On a good note this layout looks even better at this size. (:

seven more sleeps

September 19th, 2004 @ 12:28 am

Time has slowly crept by now it’s only about one week till Jay steps off the plane – if all goes well. I’m back to not sleeping like I was the week before I went to Oregon. Now if I could stop eating so damn much, at this rate I won’t fit into my newly altered brides maid dress.

My mother seems to be excited about it; she’s been making suggestions left and right about things, although this trip is going down this way for her own benefit. For the last eight months she’s been fretting about this, so hopefully this will settle her nerves. She has come along way in the last two months though. It’s really rather funny, she has taken to learning about that side of the country, she goes as far as calling me as soon as she sees a story on the news or in a book. She’s also become a more attentive mother in some ways. I used to have to call her to see what was going on, I haven’t had to do that since I came back. She calls me at least twice a week now – though I am not sure if the possibility of moving across the country is a good reason to start this now.

I’ve got about half a dozen more things to do before next Friday. Three of them shouldn’t be so hard, the other three seem to be causing me some difficulty though. On a good note I did finish getting everything ready for Brenny’s wedding. I am just missing my road trip buddy now.

I really should update my list. Hmm

it just keeps getting better

So I was woken this morning at 9:30am by the usual unknown name / unknown caller on my caller display. I picked up the phone wait a second and then say hello. A woman’s voice says “I have a person to person call for Stan MyLastName”. I respond with “No Stanley lives here”. She repeats “I am looking for Stan”. At that point I do believe my voice raised and I said “I keep getting calls for this person and they don’t freaking live here” She paused and then apologized, we hung up.

Either this bastard has given out my phone number or it was the same people who have been calling for the last three weeks trying to see if I would give him up if it wasn’t someone looking for money. True I haven’t received the recording since last Friday but is this really any better?
